Industrial Visit to AKIJ Ispat Ltd
On 30 August 2025, the ASCE Student Chapter, MIST had the wonderful opportunity to visit Akij Ispat Limited, Gazaria. Our students experienced the fascinating journey of steel production — from scrap melting to rolling and TMT rebars, along with insights into automation, quality control, and environmental practices.
We are truly grateful to Mr. Galib Mohammad (CEO), Mr. Md. Golam Hossain Farhan (Deputy Manager, Specification), and the Akij Ispat team for their warm hospitality and valuable guidance. Special thanks to our Faculty Advisor, Dr. Lt Col Khondaker Sakil Ahmed, for his continuous support and mentorship.
This visit was more than an academic tour — it was an inspiring experience that connected classroom learning with real-world engineering practice.
