CATS-MIST (CE): Traffic Management Plan for Jolshiri Abashon

The project involves developing a comprehensive Traffic Impact Assessment and Travel Demand Model for Jolshiri Abashon, a 2,200-acre smart city with diverse residential, commercial, institutional, and recreational land uses. It includes extensive field surveys—traffic counts, roadside interviews, household surveys, and establishment studies—to understand current travel behavior and future trip patterns. A detailed macrosimulation model is built to forecast travel demand up to 2040, evaluate network performance, and identify critical congestion points such as Madani Avenue and 300-ft access roads. The study assesses internal and external connectivity, future LOS conditions, and infrastructure adequacy under full development. Overall, the project provides a data-driven, long-term traffic management plan to ensure sustainable mobility and efficient access for Jolshiri’s growing population.
